Hickory Crusing: Dart Takeover

One of my all time favorite things to do is go cruising in Hickory on Friday nights. I don't know if I'm too old for this or not, either way I don't really care, it gives me a chance to be around other car people and especially other dart people.
When I first started going cruising, or as I like to refer to it the "redneck parade," I was entirely by myself out there, and totally stock. People would make fun of my little dart but I didn't care, it's always fun to go out and ride around, see what other people are doing to their cars.
Now when I go out there's at least 2 other darts that join me. Pictured here is TJ Holloway's Shoshanna and Garrett's Dart.
I have to say that there is no way I'd rather be spending my Friday nights than with my dart friends just out burning the road up. Yall really make my whole week. Be safe out there always.

Movie Review: Mom's Night Out

A Closer Look at Mom's Night Out

I know this isn't Dart related but I saw this movie today and it deserves a mention. I knew within the first 5 minutes it was gonna be a good movie.
Basically here's a summary;
A stressed out mom with 3 kids decides that she needs a night away from her crazy life. She's feeling like a failure as a mom because she sees other mom's around her that "have it all together." She takes a night out with 2 of her mom friends, both at different stages in "mommy-hood" and everything goes wrong almost immediately. It does follow the typical movie theme where everything works out in the end and she learns her lesson, but still worth watching.
Why I enjoyed it:
There was a comment made by the main character at the beginning of the movie that I found to be quite funny, and applied to my own life. She was talking about having a wonderful husband and great kids, and she has a minivan; she made the comment kind of sarcastically that she has a really nice minivan. I would be very sarcastic about having a minivan as well. I'm not a huge fan and hope to never trade in my compact, fun sized yet practical Dodge Dart for a mom van.
Later in the movie she thinks her minivan has been stolen, and she calls the police to report it stolen. They ask her to describe the vehicle and she said it was a minivan, with lots of stickers on the back including "My homeschooler is smarter than your honor student." She gets frustrated and says there's lots of stickers that she doesn't feel like going into because they're complicated. I also have a lot of stickers on my car, however none of my stickers talk about children, most are custom made for BabyRed, and I have a Dodge Minion, simple enough to explain if my car ever gets stolen.
The last reason I really enjoyed this movie was that it was Christian based. I didn't know it was a Christian based movie at first but as it goes on you can tell. It finishes strong with a good message, definitely a movie I will be watching again and recommending to my friends.

Why we love North Carolina

Fall is setting in here in Western North Carolina. This is my absolute favorite time of year, apple cider and fall festivals, haunted houses and corn fields; but my favorite part of fall in Western North Carolina is the changing leaves. I've been driving around the past couple of days, to work mostly but today I took a short trip up the mountain, and the leaves are changing to a golden yellow color. Got some cool pictures today but really can't wait for it to get later in the season so I can get some awesome pictures of BabyRed up in the mountains, maybe we'll take a trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway, however pictures will never do it justice, if you've never been seriously consider making a trip to the Blue Ridge.

First meet/Cruise with the Carolina Darts

We had our first meet this weekend, September 19th, and had a blast. The Carolina Darts got togethe, we had 6 Darts total and attended a Mopar meet in Morganton, NC. Then we drove to the Sliding Rock in Brevard, NC.
It really was exciting for me to be with other people from the club, and all of us cruising the interstate together was a great experience. I definitely look forward to the next time we get to hang out with our Dart Buddies.

Upgrades: LEDglow lights

One of my most favorite things about Baby Red so far that I've done is these LEDglow lights under the car. They've got different settings, as far as flashing and speed settings. And many different colors.
Typically I run white while driving as white and amber are the only colors that are actually street legal in the state of NC.
The install on 3 tubes took about 3 hours, my dad did them with a little help from myself, you can look him up on Facebook at TONYS GARAGE.
